This is a leadership position responsible for the safe and efficient direction of the Site Operations Support function. Job responsibilities include managing a high quality procedures support unit for the site, and overseeing the conduct of safety tagging and operations planning activities. The General Supervisor of Operations Support will also
be required to fill a back-up role for the General Supervisor-Shift Operations as needed, and will typically be required to fill an Outage Response Team (ORT) position. In addition, this individual will be responsible for managing the Operations Department Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action programs, and is the site lead for Work Control Center Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Supervision of the Procedures Development Unit.
2.Supervision of the Safety Tagging Unit, including the Operations Work Scheduling and Planning function.
3.Management of the Operations Department Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
4.The site lead for the staffing and operation of the Work Control Center(s).
5.Site Operations Department Budget development and management.
6.Management and updating of site Operations department performance indicators.
7.Responsible for outage planning and readiness for the site Operations department.
8.Responsible for coordination with Reactor Engineering.
REQUIRED:
Ten years experience in related nuclear power plant operations or equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience. Current or previous experience as an NRC licensed Senior Reactor Operator.
